Add a Comment. jmbrown512 • 5 yr. ago. This happens to me sometimes. I just go to Apps on my phone and force stop and restart the HBO app. If that doesn't work, try a connecting a different Chromecast app like Netflix and once connected, go back to the HBO app and reconnect. Cheers!
When watching anything using HBO Go, the playback is constantly pausing and buffering. I don't have this problem with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Showtime Go, etc.. Only HBO Go. I have AT&T Fiber to my house with 100Mbs download speed. When I run speed tests, the results are consistently in the 120Mbs speed for both download and upload.

I run HBO Now on my rooted Zidoo X6 and LG TV and have run HBO Go on other rooted Android devices in the past. It's probably a problem with your HDMI cable connection or your TV, not your Zidoo. According to HBO, they don't even care if your Android tablet or phone is connected to your TV, so long as you use "an appropriate cable", i.e. an HDCP
