Better battery life, not having to inject payloads… it’s just better. If you’re going to buy a pre-modded v2 you might as well save up and get a modded OLED. The only time I’d recommend modding a v2 or lite is if you already have one. Having to reinject for the v1 is not a big issue if you plan around it.
I prefer to upgrade my V1 switch to a OLED. By the way, when I update to 13.0.0 and saw the "dock update" I immediately thought about this gadget. Nobody take one in hands and open it yet. Finally decided To upgrade from the V1 to the V2 Mario 3D edition obsessed!!! I’ve had my original Nintendo switch since launched back in 2017. I thought the red would be closer to my super Mario odyssey edition joy-cons but they aren’t however this system is beautiful.
Basically you’ll need a tool called sys-click, sys-click is a system module which allows you to overclock your switch, once you have it installed and running, it should be pretty safe to use any of the built in options because the developer didn’t include any pre-set speeds that could terribly harm your system, the switch is underclocked by default so what the homebrew community refers to
